Along with another member of staff, we will be travelling to Nepal in July 2016. The team of students we are taking have been busy raising funds to go for over a year now and the more we raise, the more we are able to help. After the disastrous earthquakes struck in Nepal, in 2015, there is no denying that this is a worthy cause. We will be building earthquake-proof homes and working with the children at Stand By Me’s children’s home for two weeks. The team are grateful for any donations that will help towards making a difference in Nepal, no matter how big or small.

Nepal’s children not only suffer from isolation and extreme poverty, but many suffer discrimination due to the inequalities of the caste system. The Hetauda Children’s Home is providing a loving family environment for boys and girls so that they can attend school and rise above the label society has given them.

The Marshalls Park team will be renovating and helping to build new earthquake-proof homes for families made homeless by the earthquake. The team are raising money for the building materials and taking lots of clothes and supplies to benefit the local people. They will also be spending time at the Hetauda Children’s Home, playing games with the children.
