This winter, myself and my colleagues in the IT department have decided to raise money for the Stand By Me shoe appeal. Stand By Me support 3,500 children at risk in 7 different countries through children’s homes, schools and care centres.

Our aim is to buy 125 pairs of shoes, protecting the feet of children as they journey through life.

Every  step protected

The gift of shoes protects a child’s feet from harm everywhere they journey, to and from school each day, on every errand and expedition. When our kids receive a pair of shoes they burst with joy and are given the confidence to walk through mud, climb over rocks and splash through puddles. They are secure in the knowledge that their feet are protected from cuts, damage and disease and free to adventure into all life has to offer.

Will you give the gift of a pair of shoes this winter and help children know they are loved and cared for?

Please  give generously. All money donated will go directly towards purchasing shoes  for the children under Stand By Me's care. Plus, the more money raised the more funny tasks the IT guys will do!

  • 1. £150, TBC
  • 2. £300, Abdur Rahim will take on the ultimate chili challenge and eat 3 samosa’s covered in Dragons Blood XXL sauce. At 1.2 million scovilles it should be a scorcher!
  • 3. £450, Martin the Magnificent to do an hours boxing training at Repton gym with head coach Ergin “hard reboot” Omer.
  • 4. £600, Andy Dye to work in tech lounge for a whole day wearing the tech lounge uniform.
  • 5. £750, Bobby Rai to do weekend decom/ recom trader moves. I hope I’m not covering move support on the Monday…
  • 6. £1000, Keiren Medlock, A.K.A Karl Pilkington, will walk to Southbank and back every day for a week on his lunch break wearing a Father Christmas hat.

Thank you, Matt Gillingham
