Mud, Water, Fire and gruelling obstacles

Mark, Alan and Justin together are the Stand by Me Warriors and are taking part in the Spartan Race in Valencia, Spain this year. Mark has been an amazing fundraiser for Stand by Me, all in memory of his dad Peter Thomas who lived his life as a Christian dedicated to helping others. Mark fundraised for the completion of three homes to make our Kalaymyo Children’s Village now home to many orphaned, abandoned and at risk children who experience a life of love and care. This year the three Stand by Me Warriors are motivated to fundraise for the education and educational resources for all 33 children at the Kalaymyo Children’s Village.

The Spartan Sprint Challenge is a stimulating, heart pounding, adrenaline bursting, crazy event with 15 obstacles that will push them to their limits. Each course is filled with mud, water, fire and signature obstacles designed to test their nerve and fitness.

It will be a huge challenge but they are full of enthusiasm as their driving force is to ensure that the most vulnerable children in Burma are able to experience the provision of education, nutrition and care and can grow up with a loving environment to nurture them. It also means a lot to them and to all who knew Mark’s dad, Peter Thomas, for this to contribute to his memorial fund. Thanks to the memorial fund the children of the Kalaymyo Children’s Village have a wonderful home and will also have all their educational needs provided for, a wonderful legacy for Peter Thomas and an amazing way for him to be remembered.

Head over to their justgiving page to sponsor the Stand by Me Warriors and contribute to our kids education.
