Protect their every step throughout 2017

Every day we take a moment to select which pair of shoes is most appropriate for our daily travels; trainers, work shoes, sandals or wellington boots. It’s such an ordinary part of our daily routine that we rarely stop to consider that for many children around the world, owning just one pair of shoes is beyond their reach and a real privilege.

Walking miles on rough terrain without shoes can severely harm children’s feet, and leads to infections, long term sickness, malnutrition, walking disabilities and frequent absence from school. At Stand by Me we believe that every child deserves the dignity and the protection afforded by a pair of shoes. This Christmas, we would really appreciate your help in realising our dream of purchasing every child in our care a brand new pair of shoes. While £5 doesn’t go very far here in the UK, for our kids worldwide, it makes a world of difference. Your gift of a pair of shoes will enable them to feel special, loved and have their precious feet protected throughout 2017.
