Stand by Me students on Ethiopian TV

Scientists in the making, Joseph and Belete are two students at our Bethany School in Bekoji, Ethiopia. They had a little taste of being TV stars when they appeared on Ethiopian TV representing Stand by Me and presenting their achievements in science.

The TV programme was transmitted all over Ethiopia. The programme featured Joseph and Belete presenting their science achievements and talking about all that they had learnt and experienced at the Bethany school in their science lessons. Joseph and Belete each showed a different science experiments and explained how they worked.

Joseph said ‘’I am proud to share our amazing science invention specially by representing Stand by me Bethany school.’’

It was a great opportunity for the two boys and wonderful for their achievements to be celebrated. Sharing their great science achievements on TV had encouraged other children in the town of Bekoji and at Stand by Me. Belete and Joseph said that they want to continue working hard so that they will have more science achievements to share in the future. The school community and all at Stand by Me are exceedingly proud of them. Read about our work in Bekoji here.
